When I hammered in the eyelets I felt like this woman....
There I was, goggles on, hammer in hand, sleeves rolled up, "...everyone stand back! I got bizness to take care of." I began to hammer with every ounce of strength I had in my feeble body. Beads of sweat began to appear on my forehead. One eyelet two eyelets, three eyelets .....after I finished the last eyelet I forced myself to my feet. The room darkened, a light shown down on me and I said, with hammer in hand, "what else needs fixin round here?"
OK, OK maybe that's a little exaggerated. No I didn't wear goggles, my body is far from being feeble, and I didn't offer to fix anything in the house. I did use a hammer, and it was empowering. Here's the back of the apron which will be up in the shop today.
