Last week, I made this sweet little girls tote bag. I used Belle Epoque's Bias Tape Tote Tute tutorial (say that 5 times). I made some modifications to the pattern by making the body of the tote wider and then adding 4 pleats on each side. The great thing about this pattern is that it's reversible! I love the throw-back style that the fabric combination invokes.
Continuing with the throw-back theme, Stencil 1 carries some unique graffiti style stencils. I think the Boom Box or Afro Girl stencil would look so dope (throw-back word for us down a** Beat Street movie fans) on a Bias Tape Tote Tute. They have a tutorial on how to bleach designs on fabric by using their stencils and a bleach pen.
Have a funktified weekend!
