Tiny Dancer

I've been working on a new little peg doll for my daughter. Little by little I paint her petite features and then set her aside. The other morning, I noticed my little prima ballerina sitting in her usual spot. However, the morning sun had drawn special attention to her. There she sat, doing her morning ballet stretches with the morning light warming her skin.
I hope she is as special to my daughter as she is to me.

She's prim and proper as a dancer should be. Can almost envision her twirling and taking a bow.

Awww...so sweet. :0) I bought some of your 'doll' equipment from Etsy (MsHEBeard) a while ago...I have made a couple of attempts at trying to make some of my own creations...I say again - attempts...you are talented - they're so cute - and appear to be done with such ease. :0)

Thank you all very much!

Sandy Shirley - There is quite a process with the arms and legs. And I still feel like I'm experimenting with the process. Basically, I use wire and paper clay. I am working on a project that will give lots of details as to how to make this version of a doll. I'll update my blog when that particular project is completed.

Sweet Fuchsia - Thank you. Through trial and error I have discovered that less is more when painting the face. I also find that colored pencil and sharpies are very useful for the little details like eyeliner.

She's beautiful! Your daughter will love her one day, if not today.
