Peg Doll Peeps for the shop

Today is a very exciting day for me, because I will list my first batch of Peg Dolls in the shop this afternoon. I really enjoyed making these sweeties and I got a little carried away with accessorizing. Recently, I've discovered Paper Clay and how easy it is to sculpt little purses, masks, birds, bees, books, and body parts. Some of the hands on the peg dolls are made of paper clay. Below are the dolls....

Curious Gwenyth

Curious Gwyneth (she's Abigail's 2nd cousin)

Maltilda

Matilda and her mask
I molded the mask to fit her face.

Tabitha and her bird friends

Tabitha and Her Birds (my favorite, but don't tell the others). The bird on her head is not permanently fixed, it's just resting there =) The cage is about 2" tall.

The fourth peg doll who will be joining the gals is Jessica.

I hope you like them =)
Now, I must tend to the beast.

Hi Jamie - these little peg dolls are just gorgeous and so detailed.
I have made clothespin dolls for many years and just had to buy more clothespins about 3 months ago. The 'heads' on the round clothespins are smaller than they use to be and it seemed natural to pop a bead on top like you did. That is as far as I've gone with them although my mind keeps thinking of the next step.
I was going to add the little wrapped arms like you did - but the hands are such a great touch. I also know my imagination would not have taken me as far as your imagination did for the clothes. Wonderful work !

Very nice doll, I just love Tabitha and her accessories. I think we need more initiatives like this one to improve the skills about it.
