This is my first paper cut and I am hooked! It's amazing how much fun you can have with computer paper, an exacto knife, and lot's of Dove dark chocolate. I referenced Elsa Mora's paper cutting works (I really shouldn't link her because my paper cut pales in comparison) to give me direction and inspiration. Basically, I started with the outline of a heart and worked my way into the center. My husband told me it looks like a uterus is outlining the pregnant woman. I didn't intend for this to be the case, but it sounds deep so I'll go with it =) A uterus is certainly appropriate for the piece.
The title of my paper cut is Life. To me, aside from love, life is one of the most precious gifts a mother can give a child. That's about all I can write, because I'm about to get all verklempt.

That is really cool! My boyfriend is interested in making paper stencils for his space paintings. I will have to show him this. Good job!
I does look like a uterus. This could be a Rorschac test (the ink blot psychological tests).
Happy crafting. From one artsy fartsy person to another.
