New Aprons

There are some new Ditties in the shop.

I am determined to turn Dragonfly into a sun dress by summer. Mark my words! =)

This apron, named Aloha, is special to me because it reminds me of Hawaii. My husband and I spent our first year of marriage there while he finished up school. We have a lot of memories from that island, some good and some bad, but all were necessary to get us to where we are today... in love. I know, that sounds pretty sappy, but it's a big deal for me to be able to say that. I, like most people, went into marriage with a certain idea of how it was supposed to be and what type of role my mate was supposed to have. Then, I freaked out when I realized my "idea" wasn't going along as planned. I've been married for almost 14 years and thankfully, my "idea" was completely dissolved so I could experience the true meaning of selflessness, friendship, and love.

One of my most valuable lessons learned from my experience working as a personal trainer is knowing how to make muscles stronger. The only way to do this is by stressing them. My clients loved the results, but all (even me) hated the process. Eventually your muscle will adapt to the stress you give it thus becoming stronger. I believe the same can be said about marriage. When our relationship became strained, as a couple, we had to adapt to the stress, and with time, our relationship became stronger. Anyways who'd of thunk all of that could of come from an apron? Now having written that, I will probably get in huge fight with my man tonight and threaten to serve him divorce papers. Just joking!

Thanks! I wish I could take credit for the textile design. That's what really makes the apron.

well, it was as though they made it with you in mind. and you had to have the vision to put it together that way!

accept it! you rock!

and seriously, I'm not just saying that to angle for a discount.

Your aprons are so pretty. Do you have a pattern I could buy? I have been married 15 years on April 18th, it takes work. Especially if you have kids. On the personal trainer note, I notice all of those shows that have 400 lb people (required to be on shows like biggest loser) who want to lose weight. i wish there was a show for those of us who need to lose 20-25 lbs? Do you recommend that a personal trainer be used? I eat right, walke 3 miles a day and still can not lose weight.

Thanks for the complement on my aprons. Congratulations on being married for 15 years. That's awesome! As for the personal trainer question I have a lot to say about that. I will email you because I will take up a lot of space with my answer.
