I finished sewing up this lovely dress over the weekend. It's similar to the previous dress I made titled Sunny Day, however this dittie is in blue. I also made the neck straps a little thicker and longer, which I like better than the previous design. The length in the neck straps allows them to be crisscrossed in the back - my favorite way to wear the dress. I did not make the dress for myself, nor did I make it for the shop. It is a custom order, so it is sold.
Have you noticed I have two "modeling" poses? One is the classic hands on hip (above), and the other pose is the one arm behind the back. I'm not a fan of the arms by my side look. That look makes me look a little frumpy-ish. I'm going to have to come up with some new poses. I'm starting to become predictable.
Back to work I go. There are a couple of unfinished projects that need my attention. I hope to have a cute little skirt all sewed up and ready to post about by Wednesday. We shall see =)

Note: There are paragraphs and spacing in this post, however when I publish it, it publishes as one big paragraph. Frustrating! If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know. I would really appreciate it.

Now that's just cute as can be!! I especially love the bodice and the straps.
I'm so not-a-dress kind of gal, but that style dress is something that would be very comfortable in our local climate (100+ temps during the summer) *and* I'd actually wear it. If you ever decide to sell the pattern, count me in as interested!
Thanks and that's good to know about the interest in a pattern.
I love that dress! Too bad you are a size that I'M NOT, I don't have to worry about finding a way to buy it! Besides, I am too busty. (believe me, a CURSE) If TMJ means stress in the jaw, locking the jaw, gritting your teeth, then I do the same thing! I had to buy a mouth guard and then concentrate every second of the day on NOT doing that. This takes concentration, no time for anything else. The fitness thing has been very good for me. I have actually been able to just walk by a table of donuts for 2 straight days at work now. Progress!
I love this dress! The fabric, the style, everything looks perfect!
This is such a pretty dress. Have you ever thought of making up the pattern and selling it? I for one would buy one, in fact I wish I had the pattern for one.
STOP teasing, where is the pattern??? lol seriously it is a beautiful dress, and the fabrics you have chosen are perfect. Would it look as good on a slightly ummm curvier girl?
I am almost finished with the pattern. This weekend is the photo shoot. The waistband has elastic in the back, so it is quite flexible... literally =)
